One Month Old

Sadie is one month old today!  June was a busy month of adjusting to having two children.  Overall, things are going well.  Sadie is doing a little better with the crying.  We have determined that she has some stomach and gas issues and once she gets her burps out, she is normally fine.  She is beginning to lay on her play mat for about 10 minutes at a time without crying, which is a big improvement.  It is amazing how much you can accomplish in 10 minutes if you know that is all the time you have! We went to her one month check up yesterday and she is a growing girl!
Weight: 9 pounds 1 ounce
Length: 20 1/2 inches

Sadie pretty much does what normal one month olds do.  Mommy's favorite thing that she does is she is beginning to sleep for longer stretches of time at night.  The past 3 nights we have gotten between 5-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep so that has been a nice treat.  She has pretty good head control and has even rolled herself over once.  I'm not going to say that she can roll over yet because she has only done it once- and I think it was an accident!  We see a smile every now and then but it is not directed at anyone in particular.
We learned that she hated to be swaddled and was always trying (most of the time successfully) to get her arms out of the swaddle.  We decided to try not swaddling her to see if she would sleep well and she was just fine- actually happier not to have her arms restricted- so we decided not to swaddle her anymore.

Here are some pictures with Pooh Bear.

She really didn't like Pooh at first.

Then she decided that he must not be too bad but she was still cautious.

Now she is sleepy!

Goodnight!

Oh my gosh! The crying with Pooh Bear reminds me of Hannah doing the same thing. The falling asleep at the end is a riot.
