The Storm

What do you get when you try to get this...

and these two....
And the little one in this picture, to all smile for a photographer when they would rather...

Be doing this...
or this...
Or this!

Friday night was a little bit crazy at my Grandparent's house and I am now terrified to have any more children. We had a professional photographer there to take pictures of all of the great grandkids. Have you ever tried to get a 5 year old, 3 year old, 17 month old, and 9 month old to smile for a camera? Yeah, It is impossible! It was almost impossible to have the all just sit there and be still. It made me think about one day in the future when Hannah has cousins and they are all running around together acting crazy because they are so excited to see each other. Needless to say, Hannah and I were tired when they all left!

Wouldn't you be afraid to meet Matt on the football field?
Isn't Rachel just beautiful?

The Calm Before the Storm

Hannah had a great time in Texas. On Friday we just stayed at my Grandparent's house and my aunt brought over my cousin's kids to play. Our only outing was to the Winnsboro Dairy Queen. It is an icon in Winnsboro (ok, well according to me it is). I was so excited to get a chicken finger basket with Texas toast and gravy. Texas toast from anywhere but Texas is just not the same and Dairy Queen Texas Toast with gravy is yummy! In fact, I thought about just asking for a plate of Texas toast and a side of gravy. There is nothing like small town establishments!

Anyway, the kids came over to play for a little while. Hannah had a lot of fun with her cousin Ava.

She loved climbing under the coffee table with a glass top. She couldn't quite figure it out. She kept putting her hands up and touching the glass to get the things that were sitting on top of the table. It was pretty funny to watch!

Texas: Part 1

This weekend Hannah and I went to Texas to see my family. We had a great time spending time with my Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Here is Hannah in the airport waiting to go. Of course, we were delayed several hours.
See that funny looking thing on wheels out the window? That is a people mover on stilts. They actually drive that thing between terminals with people inside- dodging planes along the way. Gotta love Dulles!

Are we going yet?

When you have no jungle gym...make your own!
