Playing Around the House

Hannah is at such a fun age. She is so alert and can sit and play with her toys for 10-15 minutes at a time. She is getting really good at sitting up by herself and this week she started to put her hand down to catch herself when she fell over. She gets bored easily so we are always finding something new for her to play with (I wonder where she gets that from, hmmm....I have no idea!). She also loves to watch mom sing and dance, and if you have ever seen me doing those things you know what a sight it is! When I get home from work in the afternoon she just lights up and starts to giggle. She is such a delight!

Lhostse can't get enough of Hannah!

Hannah has become very interested in Lhotse and she loves to reach out and pet her.

Still no teeth, but she is still drooling and loves to chew on her teethers.

She loves it when we stack up her blocks...

and she loves to knock them down!

High centered on the Boppy!

I know how to relax!

Even Hannah knows how to social network.

More peas, please!

So cute in my jeans.

We gave Hannah a sippy cup to play with so that she will get used to it before we start putting milk in it. She figured it out right away and kept putting it to her lips.

Playing is hard work!

This is how Hannah spends a lot of time each day. She loves to sit up and play with her toys. She especially likes her two photo books.

Such a happy girlie!

More Swinging!

Swinging

We took Hannah to the park today to try out the swings. She seemed to like them, even though she was flopping all over the place!

Mom's Last Week of Summer

This week is my last week of summer vacation. I have done a very good job of not going in early to organize my classroom (although the floor in my room wasn't ready...so I had no choice but to stay home)! We have had a great week just having fun around the house. I have decided to make all of Hannah's baby food here at home. So far she has eaten avocados and squash. I also made her sweet potatoes, mango, peas and green beans. She hasn't tried those yet! I'm very happy with how the food has turned out so far and it is SO easy to make. I like making sure that Hannah has all organic ingredients in her food...and I think it is probably a little more economical than buying the baby food jars. I'm excited to keep making her healthy and delicious meals. You can judge for yourself how well she likes the vegetables, but I told her she had no choice! As you can see by the pictures, Hannah is still trying to crawl, she got a new exersaucer and LOVES it, she was eyeing Dad's food at dinner the other night, and she is an avid Gonzaga fan. She has 2 sporting outfits and they are both Gonzaga (we have 2 sets of friends who are alumni) and Kyle says it is a shame that she doesn't have a DU hockey jersey yet...maybe for Christmas.

Fun Times

We are having a fun and busy weekend at the Peterson house! Enjoy the pictures of my silly girl!
5 month pictures with Pooh! Feeding myself my cereal!

Playing with my dog, Lhotse. Lhotse was trying her hardest to stay off the quilt!

I laughed so hard when I came downstairs and saw this. Since Hannah is scootching all over the place we have been laying down a big blanket for her to play on. Yesterday she had on those cute little jeans that are STILL too big (they are 3 month size!). She scootched right out of them!

Hannah went to her first Redskins game. She was very interested in what was going on. She didn't seem to mind the noise at all!

Kyle's diploma came! (It really is inside this case!) He officially has his Master's Degree. Yea!
